Full review to once I finish the story in total (for you see the Book of the New Sun is really four separate books that have been consolidated between two covers). I do really like the fantastical far flung future Wolfe has created (reminded me a bit of the weirdness of Nightland). I DNFed this book about a decade ago but I am glad I cam back to it.
