Excellent storyline.Exciting adventure. Great character development. The first reviewer should have finished this fine novel. I'm sure his rating would be much higher.
Hard to put down.A story with happenings that kept you reading. It didn't take long for the tale to bring you in. You wanted to find out about the children right away. Then finding out about the twist and turns about their Pa not coming back for his kids. It goes on dragging you into the story that it is so hard to stop reading to get some sleep. It has been a while that a book had that effect on me. A very good story that is hard to put down.
I enjoyed itThis book appears to be an earlier work in which the wonderful writing style was still developing.I think it is with the read.
Another fast paced and exciting read from A.H. Holt. Dr. Holt has an amazing grasp on the traditions and the lingo of the old west and an ability to hold your interest from page one to The End.
