What a absolutely stunning book!! Once again this is an added book to my pile of favorite thrillers!! I was captivated by every single page I read that I couldnt put it down. Thats why I literally finished it in one day (granted I stayed up till 12:30 in the morning to finish it lol). This book didn't disappoint BUT there is never a time when Tess Gerritsen disappoints. Her drama/ thriller/ mystery type of writing littered with medical jargon is a like gold. I love the jargon and if I don't know what it means (rarely) it's something to research and learn about. The gritty, bloody descriptions are my fav as Gerritsen doesn't let anything slip away or make it less gross. I live for gritty writing and that's probably one of my favourite things to read. Reading this book makes me feel like my neck being squeezed. The pressure keeps building page by page. Now I'm nearing suffocation. But it's a good suffocation. I don't know. I started reading this in book form, but one of the first pages had the F word about 5 times. I found an abridged audio version, which was much better. Same story but condensed. The plot was interesting but the content was too heavy for me. It was an interesting concept, though. How scary if things like this really were to happen! It made me wonder about the business side of hospitals.

This book is a medical thriller about the organs black market trade made famous by Robin Cook's 'Coma'. The plot is nothing new and the villains fairly obvious from the start itself. It was still interesting enough for me to keep turning the pages but I have read much better work by this author. Not up to her usual standards.
