4 ½ stars – Contemporary/Sports Erotic Romance

Thoughts Before Reading
NOT that I'm complaining at all about the masculine perfection of this cover 'cause HELLO, just look at those mouthwateringly yummy shoulders and biceps...GRRR! But, don't baseball players usually have a little more junk in their trunk and thicker thighs? I think I have an obligation to read this (as purely scientific study of course) to find out. *naughty grin*

Thoughts After Reading
After careful review and scientific analysis, I have determined that this cover model, albeit delicious in his own right, isn’t a totally adequate representation for the studtastic hotness that is Gavin Riley.

Allow me to offer some additional...ahem...visual demonstrations.

I really enjoyed this, although not quite as much as The Perfect Play. Gavin and Liz are seriously smokin’ hot together and scorch the sheets, the balcony, the shower, the floor, the couch, the kitchen counter, and just about any and every surface they touch. Gavin is yummy of course, but I was surprised by how much I ended up liking and rooting for Liz after her outright display of utter bitchiness in The Perfect Play. The author does a good job explaining her hidden insecurity and vulnerability and making her into a sympathetic heroine. Mick was a total d*ck, no pun intended, to Gavin and Liz and tried his best to tear them apart. Luckily he eventually came around because otherwise I was going to have to pummel him, which would have been a damn shame considering how much I loved him in The Perfect Play. 4 ½ stars!

Crit About Books Changing the Game (Play by Play #2)
Read this long time ago. One of my first sport series after starting to read more romance in general. Will forever remember Jaci Burton's books for that reason. And these covers are a peace of art...

Honey, love is always complicated. If it was easy, thered be no fun when you win at the end. Ok so I do realize that Ive been reading this series way out of order. I started off with book 8 (Straddling the Line) and now here I am back at book 2, Changing the Game. I didnt particularly think this series was anything worth writing home about after I read Straddling the Line so I went into Changing the Game with pretty low expectations. Im happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how

4.5 StarsI was a little wary at first with Jaci Burton's ability to transform Liz into a likable character as well as developing a genuine relationship between Liz and Gavin. If you've read The Perfect Play then you know what kind of feat she had on her hands, but she ended up really wowing me with Changing the Game and I couldn't get enough by the end. The first hundred pages or so of Changing the Game is all sex, no exaggeration; I'm talking about every page is hot sweaty action between the

Well.... That was quite the read... I read the first book in the series, The Perfect Play and thought the same thing. Lots, and I mean LOTS of... um... yeah... This one literally started out just BOINK! BOINK! BOINK BOINK BOINK! I mean honestly.... like JACK RABBITS! I nearly closed it and moved on... Seemed kind of depressing that (view spoiler)[ these characters were having so much more sex than me! (hide spoiler)]!! But I stuck it out through the first four boinkers chapters, and it did get

I had heard great things about Jaci Burton and thought I would pick up this book and give it a read. I don't usually start a series at book 2 but that is what I did. I admit to not feeling comfortable with the characters in the first part of the book. I thought oohh another book that is more about sex than story. I also found the characters awkward and not very likable especially Gavin. I think JB was trying to make him light hearted but it just didn't come across, then I thought she was going

This was a cute story. I liked it a lot. I didn't want to read it for a long time because I didn't like Liz in the fisrt story, but we get to know her in this one and we see that she's human. She's made mistakes and she's sorry. I liked that she owned up to what she's done and showed remorse.I took a star off for Mick. Every time that idiot was on the page, I wanted to close the book and read something else. I get that he was mad, but after a while he was just a 2 yr old with a tantrum. I did't
