I liked Bec. I did. But I was reading it kind of like get back to the main story already... so 4/5 stars.

I remember this one standing out to me when I was younger and I can see why. It's much more mature than the others with a great story and a fascinating setting.It's set in, I think, roughly late Medieval Ireland and uses Middle Irish terms to complete the setting. There's a backdrop of Christian invasion which plays interestingly into the fantasy of the magical beings and demon world. Whilst re-visiting the other books has been a bit of nostalgic fun, this book was a genuine pleasure to re-read
