THIS BOOK'S A REAL TRIP!

Five friends must journey through time and space to lift a curse from beautiful Princess Sakura. Their quest now leads them to a world of magic and mysterious learning. Syaoran, the princess's young but fierce defender, is awestruck by this new world's enormous library. But when he opens one of the books, he is suddenly whisked away to a different dimension - a rough, barbaric place that resembles medieval Japan. There he witnesses the hardships faced by the family of a feudal lord who looks surprisingly like Syaoran's gruff companion Kurogane. Now Syaoran must figure out how he was transported...if he ever hopes to see Sakura again!

Assessment Containing Books Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, Vol. 13 (Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE #13)
This one gets five stars because we get the back story for Kurogane. I was almost crying like Sayoran! No wonder he's some crazy killer! Very skilled but he needs a bit more learning, hence this journey and so on. Plus, Sayorana nd Kurogane became closer through this experience. Also, this book was all about books, hoorah!

It was nice to have a glimpse into Kurogane's childhood.

THIS WAS SO PAINFUL! (Also, last year I didn't get a single book read until February, and here I am on Jan. 2 with and ENTIRE Manga under the belt. Bring it, 2019!)

We learn a great deal of Kurogane's past. So many tears shed. Beautiful installment to the series. Please visit my blog for a full review of the series: http://perksofbeinganotakuwallflower.....

I'm so glad that this wasn't yet another filler, that we're back on track with the main story. And I actually cried when I read this volume. It started out so happy but deteriorated so fast and then it was all dark and depressing and awesome, lovable people died - yeah, Clamp knows how to do that.

In this cook, we learn something about Kuroganes past. Very entertaining. I cant wait to get book 14!

This volume was much more interesting and very touching. We've finally left the races, that I found rather boring, and have moved to a world where magic and learning are important. The focus is on Kurogane. Through a touch to a magical book, we see Kuogane's past...and the tragedies that helped shape the man he is in the current story. This adds some real depth to the character of Kurogane, and makes it easier to feel empathy for him.
