Enjoyable book but I found my interest wavering midway as the h and the suspense (which is such a non-suspense btw) had me grinding my teeth a few times. The H is so amazing - an enraged arrogant lion, wounded and blind, stumbling around yet so proud and droll. I liked the premise and the ending as well. Retellings of Beauty & the Beast are in no short supply in Regency romance. Just off the top of my head, I know that Ive read Ravished by Amanda Quick, Simply Love by Mary Balogh, Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare, and Darling Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt (not Regency, but you get the general idea. There are also several that I havent read. Clearly, its a popular trope. I assumed, based on the cover, that this book would be dark. Perhaps have some gothic undertones. I was delighted to be wrong! It was sweet and funny and triumphant with this twist that I totally didnt see coming. A three star read became a four star read within the last 20%. I think this is a pretty stellar example of a well-done historical romance. Its clear why its so very popular. You have healing and redemption and growth. Another winner for me by this author. 3.5 stars. The hero, Gabriel, was such a loveable grouch, (he had been blinded in the Napoleonic Wars) and the heroine Samantha worked so hard to get him on his feet again and start to live. The big reveal was not such a huge surprise in the end but I was glad to have Cecily's actions explained, as I did wonder how she could have run out on the hero when she discovered he had been blinded.Don't want to give anything away so I am stopping here, but it was a
Its not my first novel of Teresa Medeiros, and I must confess that I enjoy more her Cabot serie (After Midnight and The Vampire Who Loved Me). Yours Until Dawn isnt bad (at all!) but I get a little tired at the end. The true is: I love the first part of this book (Gabriel and Samantha in his house) and hate the part after (I can tell what happens or will spoil the story). I laugh, sigh, almost cry at the beginning the first part was a rolling coaster of emotions everything that I didnt fell
I stayed up late last night, actually it was early this morning, finishing this because when I got to about 82%, I just could not put this down. This was romantic and heart breaking and I loved every word on every page. I will definitely read this again!

I am so glad I found this book through a GR friend who shares similar interests! I've been hankering for a good historical romance, and although this seems to be an oldie, it had enough "steaminess" to satisfy me.The premise contained so many tropes I just can't resist:* Wounded hero of war, scarred and beastly* lady companion/ nurse/ maid/ governess with wit, intelligence and backbone made of steel* Beauty meets beast, and a blinded beast at that. And things were so much better because IEnjoyable book but I found my interest wavering midway as the h and the suspense (which is such a non-suspense btw) had me grinding my teeth a few times.
