Narrative Concering Books The Arctic Incident (Artemis Fowl #2)

Artemis Fowl wants to find his father, held hostage in Russia; Holly Short wants to find who’s supplying the goblins with human technology; Foaly wants to find out who’s disabled all the LEP Technology and pointed the finger at him. Artemis has received a ransom demand for his father but is captured by the LEP who suspect him of supplying the goblins with dangerous Human technology (batteries). He convinces them he’s innocent and agrees to help them if they help him free his father. Meanwhile, down in the underground world, chaos has arisen. An unknown traitor has stolen forbidden weapons and armed a horde of trolls, setting them loose to wreak havoc on the citizens. Clues lead Captain Holly Short straight to Artemis, and she exacts a small bit of revenge by kidnapping him, just as he once kidnapped her. But soon she learns that Artemis isn’t behind the chaos, and if she’s to have any hope of stopping it, she will need his help. As a result, these onetime adversaries must now join forces—a mix that proves to be both charming and volatile.

The world that Colfer creates is as vivid and fantastical as any shire, gotham, or galaxy far, far away in recent memory. Grade: A-.

Evaluate Containing Books The Arctic Incident (Artemis Fowl #2)
This is such a fun series for middle grades. Artemis is still on a mission to find his father who disappeared two years ago. Just when he gets proof that his father is alive and being held as a prisoner in Russia, Artemis is captured by the Faerie police force under suspicion for colluding with a goblin gang. (view spoiler)[ Artemis makes a deal with Holly and Root to help them solve their problem if they, in turn, take him to Russia to rescue his dad. On the way to Russia, it becomes clear that

The plot in this is more complex than the first book, which I enjoyed, but I felt my attention wandering a bit. To be fair, I listened to almost the entirety of this audiobook while on a 4 hour drive AND while in the midst of a pretty bad cold, so I can't entirely blame the book. The characters are still just as fun as I remember, and I'm excited to jump into book 3!

Still amazing. I cant stand the first book because Artemis is a literal JERK, but I love how we get to see a bit of his humanity. <333

(A-) 82% | Very GoodNotes: A Bond villain, his henchman, and their arch enemies go on a road trip, they bond, and have a Bond style adventure.

"And, of course, we have fairy magic."I get such a kick out of Artemis' adventures! Teaming up with fairy special ops, outwitting every adult who stands in his way-he's a breath of fresh air. This book finds him hinting for his presumed dead father. But he has to make a deal with the fairies to get help in the arctic circle. With Artemis who knows how this could turn out.

24/07/20194⭐I am genuinely falling in love with these characters, I can't wait to pick up book 3 and continue the series!

"Deep beneath the layers of deviousness, you have a spark of decency. Perhaps you could blow on that spark occasionally." This has been one of my favorite series since I started reading it as a child, so I'm glad to say that it lives up to my memories on rereading. The story is well written, the characters are fun and distinct, and the pacing is perfect for a middlegrade story. In this installment we get to see Artemis working somewhat nicely with others. He still has his schemes, but he's on a
