Anne Hawksmoor: Time in the Tower, is BOOK TWO of the Anne Hawksmoor series. It follows the time-travelling adventures of eleven year old Anne Hawksmoor on her visit from Chicago to Greenwich and the Tower of London in England.

Anne is a bullied pre-teen who finds herself unable to relate to her peers at school. Everyday after school, she would seek refuge in the Chicago Public Library, where she discovers her passion for history, science and math.

In Book Two, Anne and her cousin Claire are trapped back in time, in the year 1548. The two continue their memorable journey with the young King Edward and his servant James, to find a way back to the present.

Assess Out Of Books Anne Hawksmoor: Lost in Time (Book 2)
This second book was disappointing at first as it seemed kind of random introducing a dragon and various fantastic creatures in the woods. Eventually the empowering message that each person has special traits reemerged. My only other grip is that these books would be better as one novel rather than three parts. If it is not at least 250 to 300 pages, it doesn't really have the wherewithal to stand on its own as a middle reader book. Now if the characters were younger and it was geared for
