This is not my first book by this author and I actually started off with this series by reading the sequel of this story. I know, strange, but it worked for me. I liked the sequel enough to read this story. And I love, love, loved it!!! The story is a mix of greek ancient time, where gods still rulled the world and the present time where the gods sadly still rule but more so in the background. But it's not just gods and myths, there are also some other supernatural beeings that make the plot

4 StarsFantasy Lover should be read before Night Pleasures if you want to read them in order. Im still trying to wrap my head around the reading order and all the worlds.Julian isnt a Dark Hunter, but hes part of the Dark Hunter world if that makes sense. To my surprise I liked this one a lot more than Night Pleasures. Although the steam in this one isnt as great, but I think it really fit the tone and pace of the book.Julian is a love slave. What a great book. Definitely an A+. Sherrilyn just has a gift for making characters that you shed tears for and fall in love with. Julian really touched my heart and I felt for him in his pain.
